Meet the Speaker.
Steve's story with Camp N Car began with a desire to shake up his own comfortable life in Seattle working a 9 to 5 office job. Having long wanted to travel to the northern reaches of the continent, Steve uprooted his life in Washington and purchased a Honda Element which he then converted into a camper with the help of Camp N Car co-founder Martin Nerbovig. From here he charted a course for a more adventurous lifestyle as a traveling musician in Alaska and northern Canada, never expecting that this decision would lead him to start his own company.
Steve's experiences in the north and the challenges he faced along the way gave him a lot of time to think about what he wanted his life to look like moving forward. Throughout the good times and the difficult ones, Steve was always able to find joy in his cozy tiny home on wheels. Many of the people he met remarked on the quality and craftsmanship that went into Steve's Honda Element build. It was comments like these that would prove to be the first seeds that inspired the idea for Camp N Car.
After returning to Washington state and reconnecting with his friend Martin the two decided to start the business. Nearly 4 years later and Camp N Car is a growing force in the mobile camping world. They offer a wide variety of DIY assembly kits that make converting many vehicles into campers easy. They also run a world class custom shop in Port Townsend on Washington's beautiful Olympic Peninsula. Steve manages Camp N Car's day to day operations, marketing channels and customer relations to ensure a wonderful experience for everyone that comes into contact with the business.
