Meet the Speaker.
I grew up building houses, helping rip off shingles and replace roofing when I was just 7 years old. I moved to Colorado in 2012 to finish my degree and for outdoor recreation. I graduated from Colorado School of Mines with a degree in Applied Physics. I worked at the National Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) working on test system automations for wireless devices. While going to school and working at NIST I built my first campervan, about 8 years ago now, and lived out of it full time for nearly two years with my now wife and our dog. While we were living out of our van we would constantly be asked by people if they could see and if I could build them one. When I left NIST in 2017 I was looking for other job opportunities, still living in the van, and decided to start my own company based on the interest I had received from my first build. Since late 2017 I have grown the company from a one person shop to 30+ employees producing nearly 50 vans per year. We also have a dedicated service department that works on all makes and models as well as a DIY line that sell consumer products direct through our e-commerce site.
